    What areas are considered part of the Raleigh-Durham Triangle?

    The Triangle generally refers to Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and the surrounding communities anchored by Research Triangle Park. Popular communities include Cary, Morrisville, Apex, Holly Springs, Wake Forest and others throughout Wake, Durham, Orange and Johnston counties.

    Where should I live if I'll be working in Research Triangle Park (RTP)?

    That depends on your commute preferences, budget and the type of community you're looking for. Cary, Morrisville, Durham and parts of Raleigh can provide convenient access to RTP, while other Triangle communities may offer different housing options if you're comfortable with a longer commute.

    How early should I start looking for a home before moving to Raleigh-Durham?

    Starting the conversation a few months before your anticipated move is usually helpful. That gives us time to discuss financing, learn the different communities, establish your priorities and monitor the market before you need to make a decision. Your exact timeline will depend on your financing, housing needs and moving schedule.

    Can I buy a home in Raleigh-Durham if I'm relocating from another state?

    Absolutely. Much of the home-buying process can be coordinated remotely. I can help with virtual home tours, neighborhood and property information, offer strategy, inspections and the other moving pieces leading up to closing.

    Should I get pre-approved before relocating to Raleigh-Durham?

    If you'll be financing your purchase, getting pre-approved early can help establish a realistic price range and put you in a better position once the right home becomes available. If you don't already have a lender, I can connect you with lending options to explore.

    Yes. Rather than simply picking a city, we can narrow the search based on the factors that matter to you—such as commute, budget, home style, proximity to amenities and other location preferences— then compare communities and available homes that fit those priorities.
